Tree Runs in La Thuile

Last weekend, two powder starved northern europeans drove over 500km to Italy's Aosta Valley. The excuse was an important sales meeting, the reality was fresh powder turns for three straight days.

In the sheltered tree runs beneath the Les Suches gondola the steep gradients and tight lines meant our Pally'Hi base layers had prime testing conditions for wicking sweat and dumping heat. In the high alpine lines, the bitter winds and low temperatures made sure their ability to insulate were equally important.

The riding and snow were well worth the drive, in fact we'd planned to take some photos for the blog, but with a foot of new snow arriving daily the motivation to get as many turns as possible drowned out the calls for productivity. So unfortunately, this lousey shot of Peter unloading the car is all you get.

Thanks to the incredible stink proof powers of Merino, the drive back to Germany after 4 hours of riding wasn't nearly as unpleasant as it could have been!
