In Germany the surfers make use of their fast flowing rivers where they can pump turns down standing waves. The most famous river wave in Germany is right in the centre of the City of Munich. Nic Spiers, Pally'Hi's resident surf and snowboard bum, is certainly partial to the occassional surf mission. Nic spent last October and November discovering surf spots on Brittany's coastline. Less well known for surfing than its more southerly neighbours, Brittany remains the domain of core surfers.

Shades of Love is a charity, founded by Munchner Juergen Altmann, to collect sunglasses from the general public and brands and distribute them to people in the Himalayas, who are in desperate need of UV eye protection. Juergen and Jean are currently in Ladakh in Northern India distributing the shades to villages only accessible by motorbike.
