Data Privacy
This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes the personal data collected or generated (processed) when you use Amplid’s websites including for Amplid.com and PallyHi.com. This Policy describes the types of personal data collected when you use our Sites and how your personal data is used, shared and protected. It also explains the choices you have relating to your personal data and how you can contact us.

Cookies
Amplid limits the use of cookies on its website. Each cookie added to users’ browsers has a distinct purpose. Customer’s may opt-out of receiving cookies on their browser by clicking the appropriate option in the pop-up banner. Below is a summary of the cookies used by Amplid GmbH’s websites:
Region Selector Cookie – This is a 60-day cookie which informs Amplid.com’s servers which country a return visitor selected previously, saving website visitors time and improving the browsing experience.
Shopware Session Cookies – Amplid’s ecommerce platform “Shopware” stores a Session ID cookie in the visitor's browser for basic settings and functionality. By using the session cookie, Shopware decides whether the relevant user has an active shopping cart and whether the user is logged in. It therefore serves as identification between browser and server. Amplid’s shop cannot be used without permitting cookies in the browser. For security purposes Shopware also places a CSRF cookie on visitors’ computers so they may navigate the individual areas of the shop safely. An SLT cookie enables the shop to recognise returning customers when a previous session has expired. Cookies are assigned to your browser by Shopware to increase security, remember preferences and improve your user experience.
Google Cookies – Amplid uses HTML cookies for Google Analytics, Optimize 360 and Adwords. Google Analytics and Optimize 360 collate aggregated and anonymized information about website’s users’ interactions on the website and general visitor demographics. The aggregated information is used to better understand Amplid’s customers, how the website is used and to optimize advertising. Google Adwords cookies enable conversion tracking and retargeted advertising.

Facebook Pixel – Amplid uses Facebook’s Pixel cookie to track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads based on collected data, build targeted audiences for future ads, and remarket to past website visitors. If you do not wish to receive targeted ads through Facebook, limit ad tracking by adjusting your Facebook account’s privacy settings.

Use of Social Plugins
By clicking on social media plugin buttons (identifiable on Amplid’s website footer and individual product pages), you agree to the use of this plugin and therefore the transfer of personal data to the respective social media service. Even if you are not logged in, these platforms will collect and save usage data as needed. The only prerequisite is that you have activated the specific button on one of our web pages. Amplid has no control over the nature and scope of the transmitted data or of further processing. In most instances, if you are simultaneously logged in to a social media service platform, that social media service can directly assign the information to your user profile.

Amplid.com and PallyHi.com website pages may feature out-bound links to other websites. We specifically do not hold any kind of liability for the accuracy, completeness, legality, objectivity and timeliness of the contents of these websites.

Newsletter Subscriptions
Newsletter subscriptions are on an opt-in basis only. Subscribers may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” button in the footer of Amplid’s newsletters or by clicking here. Subscribers’ personal data is stored safely in an encrypted database and is not shared with any third parties.

Proform Membership
Proform members must renew their membership annually by submitting up-to-date registration data and opting-in to proform communications. Members may cancel their membership and stop future proform communications at any time by emailing support@amplid.com. 

Beta Rider Membership
Information submitted to Amplid at the point of registration for its Beta Test Pilot program is used primarily to select suitable participants in Amplid’s research and development program. Amplid also processes the data internally for statistical analysis. Amplid does not share any Test pilot with third parties and does not customize its online shopping experience, newsletter content or targeted advertising using Test Pilot data. Subscription to the Test Pilot newsletter is on an opt-in basis only. Subscribers can cancel their newsletter subscription at any time, free of charge, by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the footer of the newsletter. Members of the Test Pilot program may unregister at any time and Amplid will delete all identifiable subject data.

Customer Service
Information submitted through Amplid’s contact and returns forms, and by email to the addresses info(at)amplid.com and support(at)amplid.com is used solely for the purpose of customer service. Amplid defines “customer service” as the actions taken to resolve product, fulfilment, payment and delivery issues. Amplid also considers the answering of inquiries and any communication instigated by a customer through these channels and social media platform Facebook to be customer service.
Specific information including name, email address, date of inquiry and short summaries of inquiries and solutions are recorded by Amplid on a secure database for a period of two years. We do this to provide context for future communications so that we can provide a better customer experience.
Amplid keeps a record of all warranty claims for a period of two years to prevent fraudulent claims. Anonymised warranty information including claimants’ product/damage photos and original explanations are kept indefinitely to provide precedent for future resolution and staff training purposes.
Amplid uses Zendesk, a cloud-based customer service app, to help process and manage customer inquiries. Zendesk processes data on behalf of Amplid, however Amplid remains the owner and controller of this data. It is Amplid’s policy that data stored on Zendesk’s servers (in the form of customer service conversations) is deleted once a query is solved or if no further communication is received within 60 days. Zendesk is compliant with high security standards, such as encryption of data in motion over public networks, auditing standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27018). Data Security
All customer data is stored securely using encryption, password protection and restricted access to minimise the risk of a data breach. In the event of a data breach, affected individuals will be contacted directly by Amplid and a report submitted to the Data Protection Authority within 72 hours of discovery.
Amplid.com and PallyHi.com are hosted on servers located in Germany.
Third party service providers with whom Amplid shares specific subject data for the puposes of order fulfilment and marketing are contractually obligated to keep Amplid’s customer data secure.

Customer Privacy
Personal data submitted to Amplid when making an online purchase, such as email addresses, street addresses, telephone numbers and payment details, is used solely for order fulfilment.
Amplid keeps customer data and records of items purchased for a period of three years in case of warranty claims and for future shopping convenience. Customer data is deleted after a period of three years, unless further purchases or inquiries are received.
Third party service providers processing personal data on Amplid’s behalf, for example to process payments, order packing, shipping and deliveries, are contractually obligated to keep Amplid’s customer data secure. Third parties may only use your data to perform contractually agreed services on Amplid’s behalf and may not utilize for any other purpose or share your data.

Processing of Payments
It is possible to make payment for goods purchased on Amplid.com and Pallyhi.com with Debit and Credit Cards and through PayPal. The processing of card payments is handled on-behalf of Amplid by Heidelpay UNZER Payment GmbH, Vangerowstraße 18, 69115 Heidelberg (hereinafter "Heidelpay/UNZER"). When paying by credit card via Heidelpay/UNZER, payment is processed by the payment service provider, to whom we pass on your data (which you provided during the ordering process) exclusively for the purpose of payment processing. The data will only be passed on if it is necessary for payment processing. To the extent necessary, Heidelpay/UNZER will then transmit your data to Heidelpay S.A. - 1, Place du Marché, 6755 Grevenmacher, Luxembourg.
To use the PayPal Services, you must provide your name, address, phone number, date of birth and email address when registering. In order to make payments through the PayPal Services, you must also provide credit card, debit card or bank account information. This required information is necessary for PayPal to process transactions, protect you against credit card fraud and current account fraud, and contact you should the need arise in administering the PayPal Services.
By accepting PayPal’s Privacy Policy, you expressly consent to use and disclosure of your personal information by PayPal. If you disagree with the terms of PayPal’s Privacy Policy, please do not use PayPal Services for payment.

Your Data Rights
You have the right to request, update, delete or access your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on compelling legitimate grounds relating to your situation. Where we have obtained your consent for the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, including opting-out from the use for direct marketing purposes.

Subject Access Request
You have the right to receive a copy of your personal data held by Amplid. Amplid will provide a copy of all personal data free of charge on request, but only after the subject has passed a strict verification process. Please submit Subject Access Requests to support@amplid.com.
