Living hundreds of miles from the ocean and a good surf break is a surfer's worst nightmare. In Germany the surfers make use of their fast flowing rivers where they can pump turns down standing waves. The most famous river wave in Germany is right in the centre of the City of Munich. Tagazhout hadn't offered Nic and his buddies the chilled vibes or the overhead waves they'd hoped for so the crew packed their car and drove North to Sidi Kaouki in search of the ultimate Moroccan surf destination.

Famous for it's bustling markets, vividly coloured pyramids of spices and cheeky haggling merchants, Marrakesh is an assault on the senses. Pally'Hi ambassador Nic Spiers spent a few days in Morocco's capital before heading west in search of waves.

Last week Pally'Hi ambassador Nic Spiers packed his bags (full of Pally'Hi clobber of course), filled his van full of diesel and headed south from his winter base in Tignes, France to the southern tip of Spain. His destination? Morocco. His mission? Culture and waves!
