Not afraid to put his mountaineering skills to use, Austrian Stefan Filzmoser, scales some the Dolomite's most spectacular peaks to access a pair of the Alps' finest couloirs. Steep, narrow and, for Stefan at least, loaded with snow, these descents look like they were worth the hours of boot packing.
In February, for the second consecutive year, Pally'Hi's in-house graphics man, Mr Michi Hanauer, packed his splitboard and headed east to Romania's Carpathian mountains for an adventure. Having seen the potential on his previous visit, Michi was eager to catch Romania at its best.
After two weeks of beautiful spring days, winter has returned to Bavaria, bringing heavy snowfalls and bone chilling temperatures. Last winter photographer Martin Erd and three friends headed east to Iran. With many preconceived ideas of what Iran would be like, the small crew spent several weeks absorbing the Iranian culture and skinning for fresh lines in the Alborz Mountains to the north of Tehran. Their adventure was a real eye opener.
